My Truck Almost Got Stolen

Fat to Fit: Week 9

Welcome back to Week 9. Lots going on this week outside them Youtubes. Thanksgiving was this week. (Yes I know. I know. The schedule these are released is about a week behind.) Happy Thanksgiving to those people who celebrate it. I was able to enjoy a lot of food. I hope you were able to as well.

Thankfully my little weight spike from that evened back out over the following days. I am still seeming to be losing inches while the scale is barely budging. It is what it is. Sometimes the scale is just as stubborn as I am.

They mangled it pretty good.

My truck also was broken into and nearly stolen. Whoever it was drilled out the ignition lock cylinder. They were real close to actually getting it. Something must have spooked them off. Fortunately, a $50 part and some cussing was all it took to get it back working. I should probably make sure the locks are fixed. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. Maybe I should change the tagline to, "Learning LIFE one failure at a time", or is that too on the nose?

"Ok Drostan. But what about your weight lifting? How is that going?"

That is still going well. Thanks for asking. Squats are still coming along great. I am on track to beat my previous record of 225 lbs for 5 sets of 5 reps. I'm still trying to get more footage of some of the lifts but it is difficult sometimes. Largely it depends on how many people are at the gym. Lately a surprising number of people have been there at 5 AM-ish.

Other than squat the other lifts are also going well. Overhead press is getting to be pretty hard. I am eeking them out but barely. Not sure how much longer I'll go without a failed rep. Bench Press and Barbell Row are going strong though. I don't see any issues with those short of hurting myself somehow.

Thanks as always for the continued support! And thanks to all the new subscribers that are joining us. Hopefully we can create a community that is helping people find health with fewer failures off the bat than me. In an effort to keep the content entertaining I am upgrading my filming gear step by step. As you can see here:

New setup who dis?

This is what I used for this newest video. It is a definite learning curve. Especially for someone like me with no artistic ability or talent. In the coming week or two we should have a special video including more than just my ugly mug! Keep on the look out for that!
